The traditional Internet New Year's event will be held on Thursday, 12 January 2012 at Felix Meritis in Amsterdam. Many local and international Internet related organisations based in the Netherlands will again join up to organise a memorable New Year's event dedicated to the local internet community of the Netherlands. As in previous years, there will be a buffet dinner, a range of "lightning talks" and the traditional Chairman's debate.
For those that care more about catching up with old friends and acquaintances, as well as meeting new people working in various areas of the internet, we have a separate room reserved for drinks, food and conversation only. And if you are lucky, you can manage to grab one of the nice t-shirts created especially for the occasion. The New Year's event is the perfect way to kick off a great 2012.

You are welcome to join us from 17.45h onwards, until about 23.00h. No need to grab a bite on the way, we have a nice buffet waiting for you. If you are a member of Internet Society, or are interested in what it wants to achieve next year (and how you can be a part of that), you can join its public General Assembly between 18.30-19.00h. We have lightning talks from 19.00h onwards, and the traditional Chairmans Debate at 20.00h. These events take place in a lecture hall adjacent to the main space, so you can also choose to network without interruption.
